Dr. Ackeilia Heatrice

Dr. Ackeilia Heatrice is a native of Jamaica, WI, but spent her formative years and beyond in Bronx, New York. Upon graduating with her Bachelor of Arts from Manhattanville College, Dr. Heatrice attended Howard University College of Dentistry and graduated in 2009.

During her tenure as a pre-doctoral student at Howard University, her love for children grew and a passion for Pediatric Dentistry was ignited. Although she knew that working with adolescents was what her heart desired, immediate entry into a Pediatric Residency was not her chosen path.

In 2010, Dr. Heatrice completed a one-year General Practice Residency program at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, located in Washington, DC, treating special needs adult patients. Upon completion of her residency program, Dr. Heatrice worked as a civilian dentist for the Department of Defense, treating soldiers in the United States Army, followed by private practice, and continued serving patients in a community health center.

After eight years of practicing General Dentistry, Dr. Heatrice decided to follow her dreams and specialize in Pediatric Dentistry, completing her two-year Pediatric Dental Residency program at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University at Harlem Hospital.

Dr. Heatrice is married to her dental school sweetheart and has a set of rambunctious and curious twin boys. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and listening to different genres of music.

Dr. Heatrice is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Missouri Dental Association, as well as the Greater St. Louis Dental Society.
